This Series features the unique
TLAQUEPAQUE Arts & Crafts Shopping Village in Sedona, Arizona. I photographed it in 2018 and created the 12 digital art images shown below in 2021. The show originally ran from Sept 12 – Oct 31, 2021. It is archived here for future viewing. Village information is listed at the bottom after the last picture.
I encourage you to visit and learn more about the very unique Tlaquepaque Village in person or online. Visit https://www.tlaq.com to learn about it’s history. Currently, there are 50 galleries and shops, plus five restaurants. It was created in the 1970’s by developer Abe Miller who modeled it after an artist village market outside Guadalajara, Mexico. The site was built on an abandoned plant nursery and much care was taken to preserve the historic white sycamore trees.
Tablets and large screens are best for viewing.
