This is a new Gallery just for Images of Chicago. A few are borrowed from Architecture+, but most are brand new digital works completed in early 2023. Many of the original photos were taken during “Open House Chicago” in 2013.

“Cloud Gate” also known as “The Bean” is an art installation by Anish Kapoor. The 168 panel, stainless-steel surface seamlessly reflects lights and activities of the city, park and skyline, inviting viewers to touch and interact with its mirror-like surface. Marina City Towers is Chicago’s 1967 Mid-Century Modernism Icon by architects Bertrand Goldberg & Associates. It was conceived as a “City within a city” designed to draw middle class residents back to the city.
